This wonderful horse shoe shaped bay is the main attraction in Broadstairs. It has a long sandy bay, cliff top promenade and boardwalk. It's a real must-see.
Thomas Crampton was a Broadstairs-born engineer. He is well known for designing the Crampton locomotive, and for laying an effective telegraph cable under the English Channel. Come and see some of his drawings, patents, awards and much, much more.
Charles Dickens was a big fan of Broadstairs - he used to holiday here, and based some of his characters on the people he met here. This museum celebrates his work and his connection with the town.
